For Miami County shoppers, this opening feels like a small lifestyle upgrade. It means fewer trips out of town (all the way to Huber Heights to find the closest Marshalls) when you need a quick gift, want to refresh your home, or just feel like browsing somewhere new. It also adds another easy, casual shopping option for those random afternoons when you’re running errands and decide to stop in “just to look.”

At the same time, moments like this are a great reminder of how lucky we are to have a mix of shopping options here in Miami County. Big national stores can be fun and convenient, but our locally owned shops are what give our towns their personality. The boutiques, specialty stores, and small businesses run by neighbors and friends are what make shopping here feel personal and unique.
So yes, we’re excited to welcome TJ Maxx to Piqua. And we’re also excited to keep supporting the local shops that have been here all along and continue to make Miami County such a great place to live, shop, and explore.
