I’ve always believed in the importance of living a life that you love, a life that inspires you. To me, that means seeking out the little things that bring joy like spending time at your favorite local coffee shop, getting together with friends for dinner, or checking out a new boutique in town. Inspiration doesn’t just come from traveling to big cities, to me inspiration starts right here at home as we live our everyday life.
The Beginning of Miami County Live
When I moved back to Troy to raise my family, after graduating from Troy High School in 2004, I was blown away by how much our community had to offer. The events, the businesses, the creativity, there seemed to be so much going on but I didn’t think there was an outlet giving it as much credit as it deserved and that’s where the idea for Miami County Live began.
I am a marketer by profession and love what I do, so I found it easy to start talking about Miami County through social media channels and then on to a website. What started out with wanting to highlight things to do transitioned into wanting to learn about the stories and people behind our favorite local brands.
Community Connections
Over time, I have gotten to meet so many amazing people through this blog. From the people behind the blog to friends I’ve made at event’s I’ve hosted or just by meeting people who happened to find this online. Starting Miami County Live hasn’t just been about sharing events and places; it’s been about creating connections.
What Inspires Me
When you live in a city as beautiful as Troy, it’s easy to find inspiration everyday. One thing I love about this area is that there’s a strong spirit of creativity and collaboration, whether it’s long-standing traditions like the Strawberry Festival or the new businesses that take bold ideas and make them real. I love watching the community evolve while still staying connected to its roots.
What’s Next For Miami County Live
The best part about Miami County Live is that it keeps evolving right alongside the community. As new businesses open and creative events pop up, I get to be part of sharing that story with all of you. Looking ahead, I’m excited to continue expanding into new areas to further showcase this beautiful area. Whether that’s through new guides and resources, more community events, or fun merchandise that lets people rep their Miami County pride.
The Heart of Miami County Live
At its core, Miami County Live is designed for locals who want to experience more, more connection, more inspiration, more fun. Behind every post there is someone who genuinely loves living here, with the hope of inspiring others to see their own community in a new way.
Inspiration doesn’t just come from traveling to big cities, to me inspiration starts right here at home. That’s why I am so inspired to keep Miami County Live going and growing. It’s my love letter to this city, this county, and this part of Ohio.
