Smiths Boathouse offers up one of the most unique places to dine in the city, this restaurant overlooks the river at Treasure Island Park making it one of the loveliest patios in the city. They are also known for their amazing seafood selection and impeccable service. Make sure to try the Vanilla Creme Brulee or any of their specialty dishes, they are always coming up with something new and exciting with fresh ingredients.

Megumi Sushi Bar, Ramen, & Grill

Megumi continues to  blew us away with their incredible ramen and sushi—it’s hands down some of the best we’ve ever had. The restaurant itself is spotless, and the waiter was serving up good service leading to  an overall fantastic experience. We tried a variety of dishes, including the spring rolls, Karen roll, and spicy tuna roll. We’re so impressed that we’re willing to make the hour-long drive again just to enjoy another meal here.

​Basil’s On Market

Basil’s on Market serves up elevated comfort food in a relaxed, inviting atmosphere. Rooted in the concept of using fresh, locally-sourced ingredients, their menu showcases beloved casual favorites like deviled eggs and baby back ribs, alongside indulgent dishes fit for any celebration. Dive into Basil’s signature fries, dusted with truffle oil, or savor the richness of their Lobster Mac and Cheese.

And let’s not overlook their impressive beverage selection! Whether you’re a bourbon aficionado, a wine connoisseur, or a craft beer enthusiast, Basil’s has something for everyone. Plus, their cocktail list is brimming with creative concoctions just waiting to be discovered. 

Lincoln Square Restaurant

This mom and pop spot is known for serving up affordable american fare, including a great breakfast. With a large menu you can’t go wrong no matter if you are getting the country benedict for breakfast or a burger for dinner. 

Viva La Fiesta

This has been a community favorite for decades and it’s easy to see why, with great margaritas (and other drinks), delicious food, and a lively casual atmosphere Viva la Fiesta will be a local favorite for years to come. 

Bakehouse Bread & Cookie Co.

Situated in scenic downtown Troy, Bakehous is known for their fresh baked bread, amazing cookie selection, breakfast tacos, and epic sandwiches. We love having our lunch outside on the square in the spring and summer.

No doubt about it, this Mexican restaurant is top-notch. Their passion for food really shines through in every dish—they’ve got that homemade touch that makes everything taste authentically delicious. It’s definitely one of the best Mexican spots I’ve ever had the pleasure of dining at. If you’re looking for a delicious meal make sure to stop here.

​Agave & Rye

This place has such a cool and unique vibe—it’s hard to believe you’re in small-town Ohio! The service was top-notch, with our server doing an excellent job throughout the meal. As for the food, it was pretty good overall. The sticky cauliflower was a standout—it was absolutely fantastic! The Green Goddess was tasty too, although I found it a tad dry. If you’re in the Troy area and on the hunt for something out of the ordinary, I definitely recommend giving this place a try!

The Caroline

Situated on the square in downtown Troy, The Caroline is an upscale casual bistro serving up great food. Make sure to make room for dessert because they’re coffee ice cream is absolutely fantastic. 

Moeller Brew Barn

What a cool spot—an old church turned brewery! Their beer selection is impressive, covering everything from IPAs and lagers to stouts. While all the brews were tasty, I couldn’t get enough of the Hook and Ladder.

Now, let’s talk food. Their menu is pretty extensive, and we tried a few dishes. The pulled pork nachos, fried bologna with mac and cheese, and the meatloaf sandwich were all outstanding!

Speakeasy Miso

Wow, I was blown away by how stunning the interior was—it’s seriously impressive! The atmosphere was so clean and refreshing, which was a pleasant surprise. Our server was on point—attentive, friendly, and did a stellar job throughout the meal.

We popped in for the half-price sushi deal and decided to try a variety of rolls: the California roll, crab Rangoon roll, spicy tuna, and spicy salmon rolls. To start, we enjoyed the cucumber salad and sushi arrancini balls. And let me tell you, everything was absolutely amazing. I’m already looking forward to going back and diving into their specialty Ramen bowls—they must be incredible if they’re anything like the sushi!

K’s Hamburger Shop

K’s is serving up nostalgia along with the best hamburgers in the city. These burgers are smoking hot, incredibly delicious, juicy, and wonderfully messy—everything you could ever want in a burger.

Mojo’s Bar & Grille

​What a fantastic find! The food was not only delicious but also reasonably priced, in my opinion. And let’s talk about the service—it was spot-on. If you’re anything like me and love discovering hidden gems, I highly recommend checking out this place!

The Mayflower

Prepare to be transported through time at this extraordinary establishment, where history, nostalgia, and sophistication converge. And let me tell you, the food and drinks will leave you speechless!

The Mayflower is serving up amazing food with their fine dining experience. My personal favorite was the gnocchi, but we also indulged in the shrimp and flatbread, and they were all exceptional. While I may have missed experiencing the theatre in its golden era, being in this restaurant makes me feel like I’ve stepped back in time. It exudes beauty, coziness, and pure delight. I’m already counting down the days until I can return and try a different spot to sit!

For my fellow vegetarians out there, fear not—there are plenty of options to tantalize your taste buds. From fried pickles to stuffed gnocchi to berry salad, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
