Nestled in the heart of downtown Troy, Knuckleheads Barber Co. is the go-to barbershop in Miami County. Owned and operated by Cory Kabara, Knuckleheads exudes a laid back atmosphere, with artwork on the walls, an arcade game to play as you wait on your appointment, and an entire line of grooming products; you can definitely say this isn’t your grandpa’s barbershop. 

Cory embarked on this path four years ago,  juggling his third shift job at a factory with daytime classes at barber school. For a year he worked diligently at learning the trade on little sleep and a passion for hair. Luckily, his dedication paid off when he opened his first small shop, laying the groundwork for what would become the Knuckleheads brand we know today. 

The name “Knuckleheads” isn’t just catchy; it’s a nod to the traditional barbershop experience Cory wanted to recreate. Inspired by the banter and camaraderie of old-school barbershops, Cory envisioned a space where men could come together, swap stories, and leave looking and feeling their best.

From the get-go, Cory knew he wanted Knuckleheads to be more than just a barbershop – it was destined to be a brand. With the help of a talented graphic designer, he crafted a logo that perfectly captured the essence of Knuckleheads, and those signature shirts you see around town? Yep, they’re made in-house with their own t-shirt press. 

But what really sets Knuckleheads apart is its commitment to excellence and love for the community. With four skilled barbers, Knuckleheads seeks to create a personalized experience tailored to the client’s needs.

Knuckleheads operates mainly on an appointment only basis with each barber managing their own schedule through Booksy. This makes finding an available appointment time a breeze.
