Families are invited to kick off summer with a WILD evening of discovery at Troy-Miami County Public Library on Monday, June 8 at 6 p.m. as the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium brings some of its amazing animals to town for a special Summer Reading Challenge event.
Held in the park behind the library, this interactive program will give attendees the opportunity to experience wildlife up close while learning fascinating facts about animals from around the world. Guests will dig into stories of wildlife habitats, behaviors, and conservation as part of the library’s 2026 Summer Reading theme, Unearth a Story.
Community members are encouraged to bring blankets or lawn chairs and enjoy an evening of family-friendly fun and hands-on learning outdoors. No registration is required.
This special event is one of many programs planned throughout the summer as part of the library’s annual Summer Reading Challenge, which runs June 1 through August 1 and encourages readers of all ages to explore books, creativity, and discovery.
Special thanks to Friends of the Troy-Miami County Public Library for making this summer program possible.
