Attention all music lovers! The Troy-Hayner Cultural Center’s Rhythm and Roots Festival is this upcoming Saturday and it’s a festival you won’t want to miss as it explores America’s musical heritage! This one-day event hosts seven bands each rooted in a different musical genre.

The Ability to Explore a Variety of Musical Genres: At the Rhythm and Blues Festival you will have the opportunity to hear seven different bands play on two stages, giving you the opportunity to hear music rooted in bluegrass, country, blues, gospel, rock, folk and Americana. This diversity makes it a great event, that anyone can attend and enjoy!
Legendary Performances: Terry Harmonica Bean is an amazing American blues harmonicist, guitarist, and songwriter who is sought after all over the world to perform the blues. He has released seven albums and has been featured in shows and documentaries. Growing up in the Mississippi Delta, blues ran in the family, his daddy and granddaddy are both bluesman with his granddaddy playing with Robert Johnson and it was nothing for Terry to see many of the great bluesmen of our age in his living room playing with them.
Terry is currently in between playing France and Australia but you can come out and see him this Saturday at the Rhythm and Roots festival for a performance you won’t want to miss!
Amazing Vendors: An eclectic selection of musically inspired vendors will be at the festival.

Learn About America’s Musical Heritage: Take a self-guided tour of American Roots music through Tim Kozul’s vintage vinyl album exhibit that will be on display on the second floor of the Troy Hayner during the Rhythm and Roots festival. This impressive collection features about 100 record album jackets that are centered in American roots music.
Amazing Food: No festival is complete without amazing food and the Rhythm and Roots festival is sure to please!
