National Museum of the Air Force: When you hear Dayton, Ohio one of the first things that come to mine is the Air Force Museum. Located east of Dayton, this is the nation’s official museum of the Air Force. Built-in 1923 this museum displays and brings history to life. This museum also features many one of a kind aircrafts that children and adults will be excited to see.
Carillon Historical Park: Located in the heart of Dayton, Carillon has so much to see and do for families. Kids can jump on the carousel and explore the kid’s area or families can explore the many exhibits available including the Early Settlement Area, Wright Brothers Aviation Center or the fully operational 1930’s Print Shop. There is always something new to discover at Carillon.
The Boonshoft Museum: Located in northern Dayton, off of Deweese Parkway, the Boonshoft Museum of Discovery is an exciting destination for children and adults alike. From the discovering the solar system in the planetarium to seeking out the animals housed upstairs, there is something for everyone when you spend your day at the Boonshoft.
The Dayton Metro Library: The newly remodeled Dayton Metro Library is truly a view to behold. Located in Downtown Dayton, the remodeled library comes equipped with a playful “Bridges” themed children’s play area, a green screen room with recording and editing equipment, performance spaces, and six original art installations created by local artists, the new library will keep you and your child active and entertained for hours.
Scene 75: Let out your inner child while roaming Scene 75, located in Vandalia, Ohio just north of Dayton. Scene 75 is a gaming haven for children and adults alike; featuring a 4-D Motion Theater, Arcade, Blacklight Mini Golf, Bumper Cars, Inflatables, Indoor Go-Karts, Lazer Maze, Mini Bowling and more there is something fun for the entire family.
Marion’s Piazza: Feeling hungry? Marion’s is praised for having amazing Dayton style pizza, with a thin crust and a variety of topping available, Marions is a great stop for any family. With an open, sometimes noisy, seat yourself restaurant, you order your pizza, pick out your seat and pick it up when your number is called. If you’re in Dayton, Marions is a must.
