Downtown Troy, Ohio has become a one-stop shop for local shopping and entertainment. No matter where you’re from it’s easy to appreciate this small town shopping mecca. With over 35 independently owned and operated stores featuring an array of merchandise, over 10 restaurants, and several bars there is something for everyone!
Fun Activities: Troy is bustling with fun activities! We even have an organization to prove it. Troy Main Street is an organization that promotes downtown Troy and they host many fun events throughout the year including a farmers market and different seasonal events.
Troy Main Street really is bringing awareness and fun to the area and it’s easy to see in all of the many things they sponsor.
Great Shopping: Troy really has amped up their shopping game in the past few years and now they have over 35 stores for you to make you way through. Each store has such a variety of things, it seems you won’t find two same items at any store. Interested in handmade and ethically produced gifts? Check out, Pachamama Market. They have a variety of amazing things that you can picture yourself wearing or displaying in your home.
If you are into antiques you are in luck. I would suggest starting off in the southeast corner and checking out the David Fair Stores. Each store is a little different and filled with eccentric accessories, trinkets furniture and more. It also makes for amazing window shopping. If for some reason you can’t make it in I would suggest following the shop’s Facebook page because they are always posting new items for sale, that could be just the piece you were looking for.
Delicious Food: If being on your feet makes you hungry feel free to stop at any of the eclectic eateries downtown, if you are in the mood for italian check out La Piazza which sits on the northwest corner of the square. Everything on the menu is good but they are also known for their delectable calamari. If you are interested in something a little more casual you can check out K’s Hamburger Shop which has been a Troy staple since 1935. They have the best hamburgers and milkshakes in the area! Whatever you’re in the mood for Downtown Troy is sure to have it!
Discover Art & Culture: If shopping isn’t your thing, you are only a short walk from some great art displays at Hayner Cultural Center. Make sure to check out their schedule to see the variety of events scheduled. If you want to get involved in the creative process yourself you can check out Raise Your Brush and make your own lovely painting.
