The 2017 Troy Main Street Style Showcase

May 15, 2017

The Troy Main Street Style Showcase was a held a few weeks ago and Miami County Live was there to track down the best runway looks from your favorite Troy boutiques.

Few settings could be more perfect than the Troy Hayner which served as the beautiful backdrop for this glamorous evening. With many vendors downstairs, there was plenty of time to mingle and  talk to the local business owners as they showcased many of their products.

David Fair on the Square showed off an amazing pink arrangement, with an overwhelming floral arrangement and many spring touches including the embroidered bird pillow and bird’s eggs that adorned their table. It’s easy to see why their stores are so popular they know how to put a table or a room together in a way that is beautiful and with a touch of whimsy.

Avenue 21 had a perfectly curated table that gave everyone a true dose of what to expect when walking into their perfectly curated and glamorous store.  We especially loved the bath bombs that had a touch of gold glitter to them as well a the goal digger cup that we can totally relate too!

After perusing the tables and chatting with local business owners and representatives we then made our way to the Fashion Show! For us, this was the most exciting part of the evening because we truly enjoy fashion here at Miami County Live and couldn’t wait to see what our hometown shops would have in store.

As we made our way up to the third floor where the Fashion Show was housed we were able to look around at the amazing artwork on display by local students.

The show’s theme was on embracing your personal style and wearing what makes you feel confident but even with the range of taste’s and styles that was displayed there was an overwhelming theme, florals.

From dusty rose pinks and white lace, many dresses had a floral undertone which fits perfectly with spring. We also saw a lot of fun, casual clothing which would make a day at the beach easy including long t-shirt dresses and flowing maxi dresses. Some 70’s inspiration also showed up on the catwalk which was evident in a lot of the rompers we saw strutting down the runway.

One of the best parts of the Fashion Show was hearing the business owners speak on the trends they expect for the season and also to learn a little about the identity of each business. It was amazing to see so many impressive boutiques being represented in one space and was a very enjoyable, fun experience!

We can’t wait to see what next year’s Style Showcase has to offer!
